A washout
So, here is the new washing machine. A tight squeeze and a right faff to fit, according to Davey who fitted it.
Since I've been a bit lax about posting to blip recently, I can also tell you that the faffing also resulted in the kitchen sink pipe breaking. A fact I didn't realise until the next morning when I tipped a basin of water down the sink and it ended up on my feet via the cupboard underneath the sink. Oh how I laughed. Not. Paranoia about my downstairs neighbours dripping kitchen ceiling meant I didn't dare use the lovely machine until the return of Davey. On Monday.
Thankfully all was fixed. I have a new plughole (not sure how to say that without it sounding slightly off) and a shiny new washing machine that doesn't leak. Hopefully.
As a PS, I would add that the machine was supposed to have the door fitted back on in order to blend in to the rest of the kitchen. Except the fittings are on the wrong side. Result.
