The Running Man, Osaka
The Glico 300 meter running man trademark is derived from a Japanese caramel candy: the candy is 15.4 kcal, which is apparently enough energy to run exactly 300 meters.
This advertising sign for the Glico confectionary company has been an Osaka landmark since 1935, modified over the years to celebrate special events, and now in glistening LED.
It seems popular to have your photo taken in front of the sign while adopting the same pose.
Now at the airport waiting for our transfer to Shanghai, which will be our base until Sunday.
Trying hard to keep up with blip, but sadly not enough time for all comments etc. - I am watching!
