Ode Of Remembrance

This is my maternal grandfather Lauri Johannes Olli.

I spent a few days digging through old boxes in the attempt to find a photo of him in his army attire for Remembrance Day, but had no luck. I did find this photo, & a bunch of information on him & our family I didn't know before. He was born in Lappajärvi Finland in 1919 & passed away in Winnipeg Manitoba in 1979. I don't know too much about the specifics in which war(s) he fought in with the Finnish Army but hope to learn more about it.

Unfortunately we did not have the honour of meeting him but are thankful for his and all soldiers sacrifices.
