A mother's anguish

This baboon ran across the road in front of our car, carrying her baby...obviously just born. She then proceeded to shake it, prod it, and drop it to the ground, but she could not revive it. After a while she left it and moved a short way away, just sitting there. How sad...but it's the way of nature I guess.
We had many animal sightings today, and I am looking forward to going on a guided night drive later this evening, hopefully to see some interesting nocturnal animals....and I will be minus my camera!
