An Unexpected Birthday Treat.....

........arrived this morning in the form of John plus a Box of Chocolates and a Card!

When I had my Antiques business a very few years ago, John occupied Showrooms in the same building as me and we both ceased business at the same time - he after 18years and me after 16years. We have kept in touch sporadically - via Christmas and Birthday cards and the very occasional phone call.

I was absolutely delighted to see him as you can imagine and we chatted for over 3 hours!

It is his Birthday - and that of his twin brother, David - on Friday - sharing their birthdays with Prince Charles. Their Mother was the proud owner of greetings from the Queen - as were all mothers who gave birth on the same day in the 1948.

All in all I've had a very pleasant day with cards and phonecalls and, as expected, a very early morning text from Anni in Germany - she is now safely home!
