November Challenge; Words of Wisdom

Anniemay and I had a blip-wander around the park in Central Milton Keynes this afternoon.  There’s a lot of artwork on display - this particular piece is called Chain Reaction.  

Chain Reaction, according to artist Ray Smith, ‘. pays homage to the Endless Column of Brancusi. It refers to our aspirations but has its feet firmly planted on the ground’.

I didn’t know of the Endless Column until today;  It’s an artwork by Romanian artist Constantin Brancusi and commemorates those Romanian soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War.  

Yet another reminder of the futility and obscenity of war, revealed in a quite unexpected way.

As far as words of wisdom are concerned, I leave you with those uttered by Norman; “Mr Grimsdale!…Mr Grimsdale!…”
