Autumn colour

As I walked to the Post Office this afternoon, I noticed how splendid the autumn colours are. They are improving every day. Unfortunately, the work done in the street outside has only partially solved the problem with water infiltration. It now seems likely that there are two pipes involved in the street. Tonight there is a public meeting to try to persuade the Mairie that the ten year contract with the water company SAUR should not be renewed. It is a private company that charges the highest price for water in the department and spends very little on infrastructure as I have been discovering to my cost. I shall be attending!
