Trail scene, Redwood Regional Park, Oakland, Ca.

This is a third growth redwood forest in the Oakland hills. This area has been seriously logged at least twice. The first major effort worked to obtain wood for construction during the Gold Rush; the other peak occurred to get building material after the great San Francisco earthquake. It's been preserved as a regional park for a number of decades. There are many young redwoods here, but some fairly tall ones as well. It's a lovely park, and it was full of early wildflowers today, especially hound's tongue and trillium.

I am leaving this photo fairly dark since my shots turn up lighter on Blipfoto
than on my monitor. I am hoping this will show up as a decent exposure.
Please let me know how it looks in terms of brightness... thanks!
