Acqua Alta

Well last day in Venice and it was an Acqua Alta high tide around Venice today when the winter high tides flood into St Marks Square and surrounding streets and lanes so quite a surreal view but no doubt Venetians are used to this sight talking of Venetians and sight it reminds me of the old joke how do you make a Venetian Blind err poke them in the eyes lol aww the old ones are the best well maybe anyway folks were getting very damp around here especially those that didn't have wellys or these plastic over shoe welly style bootys in the square and that was our trip over and back home later via Amsterdam and then the 747 bus from Edinburgh airport to Inverkeithing train station to pick up the car and back home so movie for the day after much dampness is "Waterworld 1995" See Ya
