Dismantling as tree...

It took them a few hours to bring it back to small pieces.
They could not just saw it down because a busy road is just a few meters away and it would cause a lot of damage to the surroundings.

Why remove it?
Well, one year ago a tree like this and just near my house fell down during a storm and that's why the authoroty thought it would be safer to remove it.

At least I could lay my hand on some wood.....
