Marble Arch

If it's possible to feel sorry for an Arch, I guess Marble Arch could make a strong case for consideration. Built as an entrance to Buckingham Palace, it ended up being too big when an extension was added. Moved to become an entrance to Hyde Park, it ended up, thanks to some road realignment, being stuck in the middle of a traffic island.

Anyway, it's right next to the hotel I'm staying in this evening so it makes for a convenient Blip! Actually, my hotel is right behind the Arch in this picture.
