First Snow of the Season!

Dear Diary,

Woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. A lovely, fluffy snow fell during the night. The perfect kind of snowfall...the roads are bare and I don't have to shovel! I wasn't expecting snow, it was a wonderful surprise.

It is amazing how this inch or two of white totally transforms the landscape. It is a different world out there this morning but it won't last. They are calling for milder temps this weekend so, for now, this snow is just a tease. It is a perfect day for making angels in the snow and catching snowflakes on your tongue!

Turning tree stumps into snow men
And houses into birthday cakes

The world looks good enough to bite
