Split ends

So many women seem to suffer from this condition - especially the ones with beautiful long hair ...... you have all my sympathies!

I have had short cropped hair for almost all of my life, so the regular cuts and trims get rid of any dead ends, if there be any.

I have three daughters and a daughter-in-law with beautiful long hair and I pity them when I see how they battle with split ends, now and again.


The following poem, by West, seems about the only solution?


I have split ends

Can't comb them out

Can't brush them out

Can't steam them out

Can't iron them out

Can't flatten them out

Can't twist them out

Took a scissors

And cut them out

No more split ends

No more hair


I forgot to mention: today has been one of the hottest days I have ever experienced - the weather report says it 38, but I doubt it ... more likely early forties? And it is very very humid which makes it a trifle worse ... mmmm ... lovely storm clouds coming over the mountains from the Karoo and Oudtshoorn .. it may just be that we get rain!
Heard thunder in the mountains about two hours ago, but it has since become quiet again.
