Kehräsaari area -

- used to be an island in the river Tammerkoski with a needle factory and a spinning mill. Today the place is full of small handcraft boutiques and restaurants, plus the only cinema in Tampere showing off-Hollywood movies in a small theatre. The atmosphere at Kehräsaari is quite unique.

Today I took a shortcut through it when heading for Koskikeskus shopping mall. Had to find one of those very light quilted feather-filled jackets. Found one and it's so warm - perfect for this time of year.
