Day 15 - To Gorak Shep (5288m) - Base Camp

Trekking along the Khumbu Glacier we made it to the high settlement of Gorak Shep (5288m) which is the last point of civilisation before Mt Everest. After a short refuelling lunch we set off on the pilgrimage to Everest Base Camp (5364m). The window for Everest summit expeditions is short and usually around May to June so now the Base Camp was full of trekkers rather than mountaineers.
