Cathedral Square

This is Cathedral Square in Christchurch .... I was struck by the juxtaposition of a square which is vibrant and colourful, and the sight of the quake damaged cathedral behind it. Having never been in Christchurch before the town centre had a vibrant and optimistic feel to it despite the obvious damage all around.
