It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas......

Had a lovely day with my daughter, Louise, at the first day of the Manchester Christmas markets. Thankfully, after a very rainy start to the morning on the drive down, the sun came out and stayed out for the rest of the day.

A little bit of shopping, a great lunch, a break for cake and coffee and a cup of Gluwein round the markets was the order of the day.

Although Christmas is still six weeks away, it did feel quite festive.

It was a pity that what should have been an hour's drive home, took practically four hours; a hidous standstill traffic jam on the M6. Not the best way to end an otherwise very enjoyable day.
