Exciting visit from a rare black and white species
Couldn't believe our luck that this morning, two endangered Carnabys Black Cockatoos (white tail) flew into the bird bath at our home at Margaret River for a drink. Managed to get the camera while one was still there having a drink.
This is the first time we have seen them eating and drinking - usually we just see the big black cockatoos flying across the sky with their familiar call.
Please try LARGE to see the edging on his feathers!
There is a sculptor who uses bronze to make bird baths featuring Australian cockatoos. But we had real ones on our bird bath!! Take a peek here bronze cockatoos.
You can learn more about these magnificent endangered birds here Carnaby Cockatoo
This is the second of a personal challenge to produce five black and white fotos in a row - this comes with an exciting twist due to a visit from a rare and beautiful black and white bird!
