Still more flowers!

Even on 15th November more flowers are opening!

This is Leycesteria crocothyrsos, a relation of the better known Pheasant berry, L. formosa.

Not quite so hardy as its sister, but more attractive and less weedy, this is a rapidly growing shrub from Assam, introduced by Frank Kingdon-Ward in 1928. One of our specimens is full of new flowers!
