Short Walks 1 : Crathes Castle

Had a tramp round the back of Crathes Castle today . Our preferred route is to leave the car at Milton of Crathes then walk clockwise round the estate .Its probably about 5 miles. There are well marked trails , a coffee shop beside the castle and the walk down back towards the car along the Leys Burn is beautiful ( though quite foggy today) . There's a couple of gift shops and a gallery at Milton of Crathes ( plus a restaurant/café) but we decided to head to Drumoak Garden Centre for lunch which is also worth visiting - good grub and soup.
