Apart from a tricky start with Amelie we have had a lovely day today. Not doing anything exciting but it was nice all the same. We headed into Hitchin early to do a few jobs. I upgraded my phone today, with a lot of help from the guy at the car phone warehouse! Amelie and Isaac were so patient and well behaved the entire time (about 40 minutes!) We paid money into the bank next, Amelie did a jigsaw in there that they had out for some reason... Then we chose new toothbrushes and picked up some bits for lunch. Home time after that, and we spent the afternoon watching Tangled, rugby and more rugby! Amelie did loads of writing with only a little help, including her food diary entry as part of her homework. My favourite was "tmato soop" I must admit this phonics business is rather confusing to me, I can't see how it's going to help with proper spellings as things often don't sound how they are spelt. She also wrote Izaac which is pretty spot on in terms of how we say it! A very early dinner (thanks to a certain little boy trying to fall asleep at 4!) then they did colouring and a bit of running about crazy before the dancing started.
