Marching onwards

On Tuesday I realised that Scotland were playing this Friday, that a friend had previously suggested going, and that I was now free.
Much frantic online research later and we'd ended up with 2 'restricted view' seats where we were tucked away behind a pillar up on the literal row 'z'. (Surprisingly not the very back row, as 'aa' and 'bb' had squeezed in behind us..) thankfully the view was actually almost majestic with only a small patch of pitch obstructed.

I was nervous that after one abject and very Scottish sporting humiliation 24 hours previously in the tennis we'd be witness to another classic failure tonight, but with a beautiful goal 74 minutes in there was no danger of that! The stadium was rocking and we hugged our neighbouring strangers in jubilation.

Great game, although by the time we finally got squeezed into a train and back home by 1am wed reverted to avoiding eye contact with strangers at all costs.
