A Long Day Out
After a rather lovely lie in and breakfast in bed, we eventually decided to throw caution to the wind and drag the Munckins up to London for the afternoon.
I was still keen for Munckin 1 to see the Poppies at the Tower but the poignancy has gone, and its now just surrounded by a lot of folk who seem to be missing the point sadly. Its amazing how a few months has changed the installation. They are now repacking the ceramic blooms away but there is still a large section untouched and I think my son was still quite moved by the sheer number still remaining. The crowds were unbelievable, in and round, so we diverted and had an ice cream....a very expensive ice cream.
Little Miss E enjoyed her first ride on the undergrounds, and we had a lovely late lunch at a swish Italian, before heading to Trafalgar square to see the unnamed soldier and then on to covent garden.
Its been a long day, and lots of family photographs taken, and lots of carrying Little Missy as it was so busy, but I've settled on this as my BLIP as it will eventually go into a book.
Night all
