Cold Squirrel

The sun is shining out of a cold, blue sky. The wind is ripping leaves off of the trees. Our little Ginkgo tree, whose leaves hadn't turned yellow yet, dropped them in one fell swoop after our hard freeze last night. The wind didn't even have a chance to blow them away. I feel cheated out of a bit of fall color in our own back yard. Auntie is continuing to feel better each day and she is enjoying her stay at the Collins' Health Spa.

The squirrels have been trying to soak up some sun rays to keep warm. This one is kind of cute, so I'm just going with this today as we are staying inside, out of the cold, wild wind. If I was adept at Photo Shop, I'd put a hat, scarf and mittens on this guy. You'll just have to use your imagination, I guess.
