Ayr Santa dash

Was in Ayr today for work. Loved the University of West of Scotland campus there and had a lovely walk along the sea front.
My photo is of the main shopping street and 2 runners taking part in the Santa Dash. They came along in ones or twos, the shoppers mainly ignored them and they had to dodge buses and cars. Felt really sorry for them because of the lack of any sense of atmosphere or event. Not sure if I missed the main body of runners but it certainly didn't feel like a mass participation event. They just looked like 2 people going for a normal run - apart from the santa suit of course.
Maybe santa is too busy getting ready for Xmas to send runners to Ayr...
