Be Careful on the Stairs

The configuration of the river mouth has changed again, this time creating a big land-locked lake right up against the pilings of the amusement park. The pelicans are gone off somewhere else, and we people are able to walk the length of the beach once more. We'll see how long it takes the river to break through again and flow into the sea.
