New project!

I barely got this photo in before midnight - literally just minutes before. I actually did lots of fun things today, and brought my camera along, but it didn't have a SD card in it. :( I spent time with my best friend starting new cross stitch projects, started this new crochet project, and tried out some very fancy beers with a work friend and his wife. All in all, a busy and wonderful day!

This project is with a new crochet technique - broomstick lace. It's actually pretty simple, but my previous attempts have all failed because I tried to measure the loops by hand, rather than using a huge knitting needle as I have here. I will make sure to post a picture mid-project and again when it is done.
