Regular visitor

This is the largest parrot that comes to visit our feeder. It's smaller than the yellow tailed black cockatoo, but although we see the latter flying overhead, they never come to visit.

It's a sulfur crested cockatoo, and the reason it has it's crest raised is because it's screeching at Raj who is sitting on the deck.


The bird isn't all that frightened of either of us, and he lets me get quite close.

They can be very noisy especially when a large flock is congregated together in the trees along the railway line.

Spent a tiring afternoon in the garden, but Mish enjoyed it, and I was pleased with the amount I got done. All this visiting of Open Gardens is very inspirational - not to mention motivational!
