Harvest Celebration!

This represents the final harvest from our summer garden, which consisted of just two pots of vegetables: one of green peppers, and one of tomatoes. With the arrival of the cold weather this week, it was finally time to say good-bye and thank-you to the plants, and to make the final harvest.

And of course you know what happened after that: the harvest celebration! The Dancing Girls arrived on their trusty steeds, for what may have been one of their last rides of the year. The Crittergators helped celebrate too, and they brought some tiny green friends who may or may not be alligators.

A splendid time was had by all, and we celebrated with gratitude these many gifts: fresh, healthy, tasty food, grown in our own yard; a warm, snug house; and the presence of dear friends whom we do not take for granted. Ah, the joys of living in the land of plenty!
