Rainbow laces
Hockey this week was arranged for Saturday instead of Sunday, so it was post-Wahoo which was difficult. I almost slept through the match, having managed to turn off my alarm at some point. I woke up at 10.10, the match was at 11 and last time the walk was probably 45 minutes or so. Very lucky that Kitty had let me use her bike over the weekend while she went home. I really enjoyed cycling out there with Bella and it cuts so much time off walking, even when going at a pretty leisurely pace, I definitely need to get my bike to Oxford in January!
The hockey was also unbelievably intense but enjoyable - we played Brasenose and drew 1-1. We genuinely played so well and it feels like we're gradually coming together well as a team. The second half was better once we got into it after post-Wahoo and we played the majority of the match in their half. My highlight of the game has to be clearing a shot off the line, very pleased with that. We arranged to get some rainbow laces for the sporting teams at Jesus and they arrived on Friday, meaning we got to put them to use today. They're organised by Stonewall, a charity aimed at removing homophobia from sport. There is definitely no place for homophobia in sport, and so I'm proud to show my support with the laces.
After the hockey match I spent my afternoon working and trying to get reading done - wasn't wholly successful but I managed with some of it! Slow and steady! It was quite a lonely evening because a few people had gone home/visited friends over the weekend and so I had an early night and watched a movie.
