Does He Mean Happy?

In the Gaslamp Area of Downtown San Diego, the streets are packed on both sides with restaurants and bars featuring every type of cuisine imaginable. Many have outdoor seating, and an attractive young hostess is usually stationed outside to invite you in to dine. This particular bar is called "Dick's Last Resort", and is manned by a much less attractive host. Somehow I don't think he gets the same kind of results, dressed in his garishly colored tropical shirt and beat up flip flops, and sporting a five o'clock shadow. But it's probably a ten o'clock shadow, looking at the starting time of "Crappy Hour." Good prices on drinks and eats, though. Anyway, too late for me!
