Colombo

Colombo isn't a capital that I will remember for its vibrancy and dynamism, but we needed to start here. It was a quiet Sunday when we were strolling around, so this patch known as Galle Face Green was definitely the busiest area of town.

We had to laugh quite hard at the copious number of people who assume that visitors are solely looking for places to change money, at all times.

Man on street: 'Change money?'

Man on street: 'Change money, sir?'

Man on street: 'Nowhere to change money that way'

Us: 'GOOD! We don't need to change any bloody money'
