Bundala birds
A giant egret and painted stork on a afternoon wildlife drive around Bundala National Park, on Sri Lanka's south coast. This was an idyllic place, where we encountered only two other tourists.
I loved watching the sunset on the beach, and see sea turtles bobbing around in the waves. We saw langurs, macaques, buffaloes, crocodiles, an elephant and more wild peacocks and peahens than I could ever have imagined existed.
