Old industrial idyl in downtown Tampere

My Mother, my brother and I all celebrate our birthdays at the turn of the week. As my brother turns 40, we traveled to Tampere, where he lives, for the weekend to celebrate his (and our) brithday(s) together. It was great to see him and his girlfriend (and some of her family) and visit Tampere after a long time.

We headed back home around noon. Before we checked out of our hotel, my Dad and I did a bit of sightseeing/photographing in the idyllic old industrial area (mostly in other use these days) by the Tammerkoski rapids at the heart of Tampere.
