Loch nan Uamh

It has been a frustrating day trying to fit various errands together.

One of those was a tender visit out the Mallaig road. It was a wilderness site well away from the main road and made a fine extra walk for Caley though he got filthy. I have probably pushed a shutter button a hundred times to day such was the quality of the light.

This is Loch nan Uamh close to where Bonnie Prince Charlie departed these shores post Culloden.

Bit of pub quiz trivia came to mind there:

Where is the only statue of Bonnie Prince Charlie in the UK?
Many will immediately say Glenfinnan thinking of the monument there which actually features a Jacobite soldier not BPC. The answer; it's not even in Scotland, its Derby in the East Midlands. In his march south BPC got to about where the A50 now runs east west, not far from the huge Toyota plant.
Apologies now if a more recent monument supersedes my answer.
