Rolling fog.
A day that cemented the end of autumn and the start of the long winter for me. Deathly still, with deep pockets of heavy fog in the natural bowls that pockmark the land around Vane Farm Nature Reserve.
Despite their chilly nature, and the fact that they signal my least favourite season, I do like days like this. The light is inevitably stunning, and who doesn't like a fog walk? ;)
I've set up a tumblr for my blip also-rans. There were a few today, including a supposedly very rare example of cloud iridescence. Supposedly, because I was told the first time I saw it, that it's a once in a lifetime thing. Today was the third time that I'd witnessed it. Nat Geo have an article on it here.
