Heads in an oven

Firstly these are not real heads!
These are pottery heads that one of mums friends are putting in the Elerslie garden show in christchurch coming up this week. They will be in the lake for those going!

She fires them at some very very hot degree, for about half an hour, then takes them out and covers them in saw dust, which burns out and as the heads are glazed the smoke turns them a metalic colour, but with twenty four heads some of them would be green, some even partly pink.
