a mixed history

I took a scenic drive today to the Historic Columbia River Highway to enjoy the sun and my final free day before I head back to work. I went to Crown Point and beyond, stopped at the vista house taking photos along the way. There are more on my flickrstream. It was beautiful but, man, it got cold quick at the higher elevation. I wanted to try to catch the sunset but I decided to head back early. It turned out the sunset wasn't anything to call home about.

It was nice to get out and see the forest. I love that old highway.
