Crossing the Manorburn Bridge

Plan A was to walk from Graveyard Gully down the true left of the Clutha River to Butchers Point, because the wild thyme is in flower.  However, on arrival, we found that the track was closed because of aerial spraying!

Plan B was a lovely flat walk along the Rail Trail, leading from Alexandra, heading towards Galloway.  We had our lunch by this bridge, (pictured), and during our walk about 50 cyclists passed us, they all seemed to be enjoying their outing.

Stopped for a huge ice cream at Clyde on the way home, making it a perfect end to a lovely day out.
