Ash on Ash

I had to go to the Ashdown Forest Centre today to collect a new riding permit (the old one vanished on Friday, probably when I fell off Nonny) and we saw this scene.

The tree surgeon's name is Ash and he was coppicing an ash tree! The centre has a number of local trees growing on site to show a) what they look like and b) how they are managed.
