Door at St Mary's church, Higham

Parts of the church are thought to be Saxon. The door is relatively modern having been carved in about 1400. A number of small heads can be seen including a Green Man.
The church once serviced a nearby nunnery. The nunnery was dissolved in the early 16th century after the local vicar made two of the nuns pregnant.
