[Insert obvious joke about big chopper here]
This is Feyzi, the chef at Cooking Alaturka, where we have just spent a most enjoyable morning cooking followed by lunch eating the fruits of our labours.
Menu:
Ezogelin çorbasi (spicy lentil & bulgar soup)
Imam bayildi (aubergine braised in olive oil with onion & tomato)
Kabak mücveri (courgette patties with herbs and cheese)
Etli yaprak dolmasi (vine leaves stuffed with mincemeat)
Incir tathsi (walnut stuffed figs in syrup)
Really good fun. Lots of hands on experience and the food was excellent. Mostly because Feyzi knows what he's doing as opposed to any input from me. Although I now know how to roll a vine leaf.
(edit - apologies to anyone who speaks Turkish - Blip doesn't handle some of the Turkish alphabet very well).
