Making Cancer History
Things brightened up a lot here today. The dreichness gone and the bitter but sunny cold arrived.
It was a chemo day for Leejohnaire, so we decided to try our in-treatment shot again. MD Anderson Cancer Center’s advertising strapline is “Making Cancer History,” with the word ‘Cancer’ in their logo crossed out. This is on the glass treatment room doors. Various nurses passed me by, when I was out in the corridor, shooting through the closed glass door, and laughed in a way that suggested they knew this was just the kind of thing we did. None of them leapt into the shot like last time though, so today I’m going with the original shot as planned.
When I'm taking them, I really want to show the photos to the nurses so that they can see I’m not just taking pictures of L getting chemo. Maybe one day…
