The Beauty Berry

I have a very insignificant shrub in my front garden which has the rather grand name of Callicarpa bodinieri giraldii 'Profusion'. It's common or garden name is Beauty berry which I think describes it well. In late summer the berries form and by November, when there is not much colour left, the leaves fall and the berries are a purple showstopper! I thought the birds would love them but for some reason they leave them alone - it's their loss!
