Bargain books
I left home at 7am today to drive to Glasgow for a meeting and realised 5 minutes later that I'd forgotten to pick up my camera! It was a beautiful day too and Pollok House was looking good - we had a tour of the interior at lunchtime and there were Bliportunities galore!
Wasn't back until 7.30 so have to make do with an indoor Blip today. These are some of the books I picked up cheaply at a s/h book sale at the NTS Head Gardeners' Meeting back in September. Bottom left is Harold Fletcher's 'A Quest of Flowers', being the story of George Sherriff and Frank Ludlow's plant hunting expeditions to Bhutan and Tibet in the 1930s and 40s. Riveting reading!
Whatever happens in the digital world there will always be a place for books!
