Blue Plaque

At Kinbrae, Middle Warberry Road, Torquay, at the unveiling of a plaque to Peter Cook, born here on this day in 1937. Erected by Torbay Civic Society in the presence of his daughter, sister, Mrs Lin Cook, his widow, and Mover. Not only is there one here but also there will be one at Torquay United - he was a lifelong supporter. This follows the honour of having a newly discovered planet named after him- 20468 Petercook. Years earlier, Peter had remarked, " as I looked out into the night sky, across all those infinite stars, it made me realise how insignificant they are."
