A day of two TPs
Short for telepresence, as video conference is so last year.
I've been using video conference for over 20 years now and in my view only Mars got it right. While the technology was no where near like today (believe me this is incredible) all the meetings were timetabled to start at 5 past the hour and finish at 5 to the hour. Giving attendees a chance to get into the room without a rush.
Today was a tale of two of these, this morning at 7.30 am with Russia, Mexico, UK, and a number of other locations and tonight with China (7 am tomorrow in Shanghai). It's a fantastic tool, however it does have two issues, we are still can't find a time that suits UK, US, Asia in working hours and they are always booked when you need them.
You still cannot beat in person discussions, hence am still in Chicago, -12 C this morning and thankfully forecast to warm up overnight, allowing snow tomorrow!
