Artichoke

A very distinctive part of the drive south from here, towards Moss Landing and the kayaking at Elkhorn, is the flat agricultural land. It's a very tidy landscape - mechanically created of course, but it appeals to my tidy mind.

And the majority of the land is planted with strawberries or artichokes. It's our new favorite thing - artichokes with mayo dip.
