Broken

Today has many broken elements...

I arrived at work to discover that our very expensive redundant network connection to our data centre wasn't working properly. In fact one of the links was dead in a subtle way that meant that any data sent down it vanished into a black hole but the network system couldn't see the failure so hadn't moved all trafic over to the other link. After a certain amount of moaning the network team killed the unreliable link and all was well again.

During the day a speculative property developer has in a very coordinated way launched their bid to build on the one remaining green field within the village, forestalling the local neighbour hood plan which is nearing completion. That rather breaks ones faith in people.

Finally today's blip is something broke, any ideas?
