Behold

Early while rowing a gorgeous blue heron flew over me and was a silhouette against the just light sky, wings spread long thin legs trailing - that bird in flight is stunning.

Then in the evening I watched a gang of some kind of birds twirl and swoop in perfect timing while I sat in s pool of traffic.

The word "behold" surfaced on both cases.

And this saxophonist - he plays in front of a food store I use. Today I approached him while he was pinning his donation together with a clothing pin and learned via a sign he made that he had 3 stokes in 2011 that left him with difficult speech and compromised his music reading. He had taught music at university and performed classical as well as jazz. He can only play jazz now and all speech is hard. And his timing expression and voice is just beguiling.

Behold the courage of some.
